I think of design as a way to bring a conceptual idea to life utilizing colour, shape and texture. My goal is always to evoke an emotional reaction difficult to measure and an arousing response impossible to ignore.
To me the sign of a great design result is when you can't tell who the designer is, you can't feel them in the room when they aren't there, and you can't define their one specific style. It is my clients' stylistic vision that matters most and it is not a success if I have not left their home with the sentiment of who they are.
I pride myself on truly listening to my clients and paying close attention to what they envision. My role is simply to bring their design dreams to life; not to impose my own partiality on their lives. It is only once I have had a chance to get to know them, understand their lifestyle and what they hope their renovation or construction of their new home will achieve that I can bridge their thoughts with my creative expertise and bring their expressions to life!
With experience spanning 30 years my philosophy has matured and continues to grow as I bring aesthetic interpretation to some of North America's and the Caribbean's most impressive and eclectic neighbourhoods.
My clients include proud homeowners of houses and condominiums in the prestigious East and West Towers of the "Four Seasons Private Residences Toronto", as well as addresses in Oakville, eastern Canada, Palm Beach, Miami,Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Naples.
My approach to creating the perfect space is uncomplicated. I believe each room carries its' own unique personality highlighted by a series of focal points that allows anyone entering the space to appreciate the overall design rather than noticing only what is obvious to them.
My corporate, retail and commercial clients expect no less when they invite me to partner with them to create impactful and unique spaces designed to visually communicate their intended message to their clientele. Whether whimsical or literal each detail is purposefully selected to create an experience not soon forgotten.
How do I measure the success of a project? Where does my greatest sense of accomplishment come from? Quite plainly, when visitors exclaim to their host "This is so you!" With this I know my job is done and that is has been done exceptionally well.
